Each summer, First United Methodist Church holds a fun-filled Vacation Bible School for children who are at least four years old.  Last year (2006) our theme was “Beach Party – Surfin’ Through the Scriptures” where we had a rockin’ good time!  We shook the rafters with our singing, raised the roof with our shouting and came away with a greater knowledge of the bible and how to have A REALLY GREAT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  If you like plays, singing, dancing (you should have seen all 70 of us doing the conga line), stories, crafts, games, great food, making new friends, seeing adults being REALLY silly and so much more, then this is the place for you!  Check out our VBS for summer 2009 when we have “Camp E.D.G.E” from July 26-30.  We’ll be doing something new this year by combining with Chapel Hill for VBS and having an even BETTER time together!  You can call our church office at 472-9494 with questions and we will be glad to help.  Hope to see you there!
